Windstar Cruises celebrated the winners of its Rising Stars Travel Agent Challenge this weekend at the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, California. The winners partook in Windstar’s recent incentive program created for the top selling travel agents of Windstar’s new all suite power yachts, Star Pride, Star Breeze and Star Legend.
We are thrilled to congratulate Windstar’s Rising Stars:
- Phyllis Murray – Avoya Travel
- Jim Eagan – Cruise Planners
- Laura Dodson – The Cruise & Travel Specialist
- Katie Sitton – The Cruise and Tour Center
The winners were treated to a VIP weekend filled with a luxury hotel stay, fun-filled meals, and topped with the Awards show. Joe Duckett, Windstar’s Vice President of Marketing & Sales, shares his pictures from the event-filled weekend.
AEG, Windstar’s sister brand and one of the leading sports and entertainment presenters in the world, provided tickets and red carpet access at the show on September 20, 2015.
The winners were also treated to a weekend stay at the Ritz Carlton Los Angeles, another Windstar sister brand. They enjoyed dinner at WP24 which showcased beautiful views of LA.
I would be interested to know how much revenue these agents produced for Windstar. Was this an announced contest?
Hello Suzanne,
The contest was announced in April, 2015 and promoted through travel agent publications and web sites throughout the Spring and Summer. Due to our company policy we do not release information about revenue. To get trade related news and announcements please sign up on our website: https://www.windstarcruises.com/Special-Offers/ and select “I am a travel agent.”
Best,
Windstar Cruises
A strange thing to post on a customer newsletter? Seems like this should be promoted on a travel industry newsletter.
Hello Rusty,
Windstar Cruises has one newsletter a month and it is about company news and events. Taking Rising Stars winners to the Emmys is a unique event for us that is why we decided to let everyone know.
