When we (Dawn West and Rod Kingdon) arrived onboard Star Pride we knew we were going to have our wedding vow ceremony on board the ship, however, we had no idea when or where and that added to the excitement of the occasion for us. First time Windstar Cruisers traveling on the beautiful Star Pride on September 16th out of Barcelona to Rome on the breathtaking Yachtsman’s Harbors of the Rivieras Itinerary we had no idea how special our day would become.
Soon after arriving on board we met with Amanda the Guest Services Manager who told us that our special day would be in on September 23rd in Portofino and they would be taking care of all of the arrangements and all we needed to do was show up.
When our special day arrived we were tendered in Portofino, one of the most picturesque ports we have ever seen. In the port, we attended a VIP Water Polo Event after exploring the area and then went back to the ship to get ready for the Ceremony.
A cake, table flowers, a small but beautiful fresh bouquet, champagne and the use of the photographer were provided for the occasion. Our wedding vow ceremony was intimate, personal, romantic and could not be more perfect.

Wedding Vow Renewal Package
Windstar Cruises Wedding Renewal Package is available on all six ships, on select dates. We offer a vow renewal package that can function as your wedding ceremony; however, it will not be legally recorded. It includes a special invitation to the renewal of vows ceremony by ship’s Captain. The package includes a custom made cake and one bottle of sparkling wine.
